23 year-old cellist Lindsay Mac releases her new album Stop Thinking next month. The album is charming, cute, unique (she plays her cello like a guitar), and all around wonderful. I’d certainly recommend checking her out.

Mac was a 2007 Kerrville New Folk Finalist and 2007 Falcon Ridge Folk Festival Emerging Artist. Based on Mac’s popularity at the 2007 Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, she and three other performers – Anthony da Costa, Joe Crookston and Randall Williams – were selected by the audience to return for the 2008 Falcon Ridge Most Wanted Song Swap.
