One amazing thing about Rome is the birds. Huge flocks will cover the sky and weave in and out of each other creating giant moving sculptures and tornadoes in the sky. Those black spots in the photo of the sky are birds. You can tell the difference between the tourists and the locals when the birds fly overhead because while the tourists all stop to look up the locals quickly put up their hoods and umbrellas and start walking fast.
