One day, sitting in the Vassar Library sun room moaning about school work, Julia turned to Alison and said, “Let’s go to Greece after we graduate.” To which Alison replied, “okay.”

After graduating from Vassar in 2008 we were ready for an adventure. We booked one-way tickets to Athens and obtained a list of organic farms around Greece. We spent our first month working on farm land on the Aegean island of Paros.
